Canned trainings are getting to be a thing of the past if you want to design training modules with more impact for the learners. This is why working closely with clients is standard for the One Core Business Training team; it allows more customized learning sessions and the participants go back to the workplace not only energized but can immediately apply what was learned during the training.
One Core recently conducted an Image Enhancement workshop for a major utility company based in Cebu City. The participants were the “powers behind the power”; executive secretaries to the Directors and Senior managers of the company; most of them have served their bosses faithfully for the past 15-20 years.
The purpose of the Image Enhance workshop was to address specific skill gaps identified among the participants; modules ranged from business writing review, conversational english, business etiquette and corporate grooming. The lectures were very interactive, participants were encouraged to ask questions , share dilemmas or be simply candid about their skill and behavior challenges in the corporate setting.
One of the most popular modules was on Conversational English. The trainees were challenged on reading commonly mispronounced words in English, required to undergo multiple impromptu speaking scenarios etc. They were all very nervous but had many good laughs in between.
At the end of the 2-day workshop; everyone felt more upgraded with their skills and developed a renewed sense of confidence in their important roles as executive assistants to key people in their organizations. The were grateful to the Human Resources and Training Department of their company for coordinating a unique training collaboration with One Core.
